In addition to regular acupuncture treatments leading up to your IVF cycle, we do offer same-day acupuncture treatments on your IVF egg retrieval and embryo transfer days. Studies have shown that specifically timed acupuncture treatments can almost double the success rates of IVF
If you are already a patient of the clinic, these are booked through the clinic reception. We will accommodate early morning, weekend and holidays as we have seen major improvements in success rates. All of our acupuncture treatments are done at the Richmond St. West office; Dr. Darou does not travel remotely to your fertility clinic with you. We are, however located right downtown at a convenient location for most fertility clinics.
If you are not a patient of the clinic, but are interested in this service, we would request an initial visit with you before the specific pre-retrieval and pre-transfer appointments. The purpose of this visit is to review your health and fertility history, go through any potential contra indications to treatment, and also for you to try one acupuncture treatment so that you know what to expect on the big day.
